Direct and face-to-face. As the name implies, a Lead Safe Resource Fair is an opportunity for citizens to learn more about Lead Safety directly from the governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations that manage Lead Safety programs.
Exhibitors are invited to set up a table, provide printed information, and answer questions from the public about their programs.
Cleveland Lead Advocates for Safe Housing (CLASH) has been sponsoring Lead Safe Resource Fairs for about two year and each event has built on the what we've learned from experiences in Cleveland, East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights
Exhibitors can include:
Government agencies like Cleveland or Cuyahoga Departments of Health, Departments of Building and Housing and Cleveland Water Department.
Non-profit organizations which provide lead risk assessment or financial support for lead remediation.
Non-profits that specialize in case management for lead survivors, health services in support lead hazards, outreach and education for community activists, child care safety, housing rights for tenants, and advocacy opportunities.
Each Lead Safe Resource Fair seeks to engage agencies and organizations which are already providing lead related services in the community where the event is being held.
In addition to information tables, exhibitors are invited to provide presentations on lead related topics.
