Barriers to Childhood Lead Testing

In Cuyahoga County only half of at risk children are being tested for lead poisoning...even if they receive well baby check ups!

Parents or guardians of children under age 10 and who live in Cuyahoga County can participate in local research efforts

This study by CLASH and the University of Arizona is being done to identify the barriers to testing children for lead poisoning. Increased testing can lead to early interventions that will minimize the toxic impacts of childhood lead exposure and will help to identify sources of lead hazards that require remediation. Thanks for support from the Thriving Earth Exchange (TEX).

If you are a parent of a child under the age of 10 years of age, we want to hear your story at a semi-structured interview.

If you are a health care provider or a child care provider we'll link you to an online survey form about barriers.
